Stop perfecting bad fitness habits
Become a self-aware exerciser
We all know the benefits regular exercise can bring. Some of us choose to exercise in the great outdoors by walking, running or cycling. Others prefer to train in a gym or swimming pool. However you choose to exercise the potential benefits you could achieve may never be realisew the benefits regular exercise can bring. Some of us choose to exerd. So many people never 'switch on' to what their body is actually doing while they exercise.
As a professional triathlon coach Dave Bradley notices many people out running or walking 'switched into' headphones and focused on their music. He has even seen people reading a book while exercising on a running machine. You might comment that at least people are exercising, but are they exercising well. Could they be getting more benefit and long term enjoyment from their fitness regime by adopting a slightly different mindset?
Same effort. Greater benefit
When triathletes train for an Ironman race, cycle sportive or marathon you would expect they might know how to train effectively. This is rarely the case. Many triathletes work hard to perfect bad habits. They often practice 'struggle' and most importantly never notice this is what they are doing. What if they could get more benefit and faster race times from the same training?
Same effort. Greater benefit.
Becoming more self-aware means changing your mindset towards the exercise you already do. In this presentation Dave shows how by becoming more focused on what your body is doing you can become a more effective exerciser.
